To install this patch, first edit it if necessary to change the system administrator password from its default value of zero; then simply send it to the printer. Once installed, the patch survives until the LaserWriter is next powered off. This patch applies only to LaserWriters and not to other PostScript printers. Sending it to a non-LaserWriter or sending it more than once will have no effect. TranScript site administrators may wish to download this patch automatically as part of the hourly script.
