In the sample programs in the manual, information typed in by the user at the keyboard has been underlined to differentiate it from computer output. . In arithmetic expressions, an asterisk (*) is used to denote multiplication, and an upward-pointing arrow to denote exponentiation. . A percent sign (%) appearing before a number in STAT-11 output indicates only that the number has exceeded the normal output format in length. The value of the number is still correct.
