Abstract: SYMBOL is a program to search global symbol table files
(.STB) produced by the task builder. SYMBOL can also
search object modules produced by any of the standard
language processors. The object modules can reside in an
object module library produced by the librarian.
 
SYMBOL requires no special priviledges to run. SYMBOL is
particularly useful for systems programmers debugging
priviledged code who need to examine the RSX-11M
executive database on line. SYMBOL was written during
the course of debugging an ACP for exactly this purpose,
and has grown more flexible over the past several
months.
