The purpose of these files is to demonstrate how one could access the I/O page from Decus C. The example accesses a clock/calender card and sets the system time. Since the clock data is read from registers on the card a program must somehow access the I/O page to get this data. By building these files and creating a device partition, the I/O page can easily be accessed. Prior to building the tasks, look at CLOCK.CMD and make sure you understand what is going on. To build the set of programs, execute the indirect commmand file CLOCK.CMD .
