The monitors should be replaced as whole units in the field. Record the serial .
numbers of both the old and new units. They are often required for the customers
record keeping.

SYMPTOM: 2401 OR 2402 ERROR CODES DURING POST OR DIAGNOSTICS

PROBLEM DETERMINATION:  RUN ADVANCED DIAGNOSTICS ON THE VGA ADAPTER (CTRL A
FROM MAIN MENU). ERROR LIST CALLS OUT THE SYSTEM BOARD ALTHOUGH THIS IS
RARELY THE PROBLEM.  IN MOST CASES THE MONITOR WORKS OK AFTER HITTING THE F1 
KEY AND CONTINUING INTO DOS.

FIX: RESEAT THE CABLE CONNECTOR FROM THE MONITOR TO THE SYSTEM BOARD. THIS
MAY TAKE SEVERAL TRIES. IF THE MONITOR STILL FAILS THEN REPLACE THE MONITOR.
