SYMPTOM:  Drive won't spin or heads crash after handling

PROBLEM DETERMINATION:  Depression in black aluminum cover over heads/media

FIX:  None - must be returned for attempted repair in clean-room

Please be aware that the IBM-Manufactured (all-black) 5 1/4" disk drives are
EXTREMELY susceptible to HDA damage if handled by the black aluminum cover
over the heads & platters.                                                   

This cover is VERY SOFT.  If handling causes even a SLIGHT depression on the
top of this cover, the plastic filter-baffle glued inside will rub on the top
platter.  Although unused, the friction against the top platter surface will
either prevent spindle rotation OR contaminate the HDA.
