                    *** Diagnostics aids and information ***

 The following diskettes are available as field tools to aid in troubleshooting
or repairing the floppy or hard disks on the S-10.

Diagnostic Diskette No. 2:

P/N TT529050 - runs under BB/M

 This diskette is used for floppy disk drives. It contains BASS exerciser
programs similar to the BASS programs found on BBIII and BBIV systems. In
addition, diskette 2 contains two programs to aid in checking and performing
floppy disk head alignment.

Using Diskette No. 2:

 1. Boot BB/M, remove the BB/M diskette, insert Diagnostic Diskette No. 2,
 2. Run "/BASS" to start the BASS exerciser monitor or
 3. Run "/DYSDD" to determine if floppy disk head alignment is needed or
 4. Run "/HEADC" to perform floppy disk head alignment.

Diagnostic Diskette No. 3 (old - prior to revision B01*04.08)

P/N TT529080 - runs under CP/M

 This diskette contains programs for the hard disk.

Using Diskette No. 3:

 1. Boot CP/M,
 2. Remove the CP/M diskette, insert Diagnostic Diskette No. 3,
 3. Enter /FMDIAG and press CR
 4. The program will load and display the following menu:

             1. HARD DISK DIAGNOSTICS
             2. HARD DISK FORMAT UTILITY

 Diagnostic Diskette No. 3 (new - at or above revision B01*04.08)

 P/N TT529080 - Standalone  (all orders are filled with this version)

 This diskette contains programs for the hard disk.

 Using the new version Diskette No. 3:

  1. Boot the Diagnostic Diskette No. 3
  2. The monitor will load and print the following menu:

      4005 HARD DISK DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM - B01*04.08

           1. DISK DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM
           2. FORMAT UTILITY PROGRAM
           3. TOGGLE PRINTER--CURRENTLY (OFF)

 The following O.S. Diskettes may be ordered:

 TT529100  BB/M Level 9.3D for phase 2
 TT529180  CP/M for phase 1B
