                          *** General Information ***
This FIB group will contain information specific to the EISA, ISA, or Micro
Channel Adapters or to the C/CON 16 port concentrators (known as RANs on
IBM systems). Cable information for the concentrators is located in
CABLES-DIGIBOARD-16 PORT CONCENTRATORS

MAI uses DigiBoard ISA, EISA, and Micro Channel adapters in various systems.
These adapters connect with up to eight 16 port C/CON concentrators providing
up to 128 ports of direct async connections.

The combination of adapter and concentrators constitute a "Cluster Controller
System".

The following manuals should be shipped with the Cluster Controller System:

      and Micro Channel Host Adapters
   Installation Guide for DigiBoard C/X Cluster Controller System C/CON-16
      Concentrator

The concentrators must be set in ascending order starting with 1N, press the 
right arrow button once to display the node number (ex. 1N, 2N, etc.).

Refer to the C/CON-16 Concentrator Installation manual.
If the node is not set correctly you can still perform some unix commands to the
port successfully such as stty < /dev/ttyaxxx, on other devices such as the MAI
16-way controller, if something is wrong with the port you will get a message
similar to "can't create device".
