A problem has been identified with MAXTOR LXT213 and LXT535 disk drives
that will cause the drives not to come READY after a system is shutdown
and power is restored. The problem is caused by a marginal integrated
circuit at location "U18" on the disk drive's logic board.
All drives experiencing this problem should be rejected and returned to
the vendor. Please write the following as the reason for reject:
MARGINAL "U18" DRIVE WILL NOT SPIN-UP, RETURN TO VENDOR.

	ADDING A SECOND HARD DISK:
Adding a new disk to the system is a three step process. First, the kernel must be reconfigured
in order for it to recognize the new disk. Second, the reconfigured kernel must be booted.
Third, the filesystems on the new disk must be configured.

1.0 RECONFIGURING THE KERNEL:

	1.1	mkdev hd <cr>
1.2	y <cr> (Do you want to add another SCSI disk ?)
1.3	<cr> (Default SCSI host adapter prefix 'ad')
1.4	Enter 0 if you are adding a disk on the first SCSI controller or
enter 1 if the disk will be attached to the second controller.
1.4.1	If you are just adding another disk onto a system with a single SCSI controller, skip to step 1.5
1.4.2	y <cr>	('ad' SCSI host adapter 1 is not configured. Would you like to update the link-kit ?)
1.4.3	334 <cr>	(What is the start IO address (hex) for this adapter ?)
1.4.4	336 <cr>	(What is the end IO address (hex) for this adapter ?)
		1.4.5	y <cr> (Update the link-kit ?)
1.5	Enter the Target ID for the disk drive being added. the following is a table of typical available IDs:
