SCO UNIX QUICK INSTALLATION TOOL (For MAI Manufacturing Use Only !)
The purpose of this tool is to allow installation of SCO UNIX with a minimum of user interaction.
1.0	INSTALLING THE TOOL:
1.1	Make sure you are logged in as root in order to install this tool
1.2	The tool requires about 40 Mb of disk space
	1.3	mkdir /u/install
	1.4	cd /u/install
	1.5	cpio -idum < /dev/rStp0
1.6	Run mkdev hd to configure SCSI ID numbers which will be used for target disks, the following example will add SCSI ID 1 on controller 0:
		1.6.1	mkdev hd <cr>
1.6.2	y (Do you want to add another SCSI disk ?)
1.6.3	ad <cr> (Enter the prefix of the SCSI host adapter)
1.6.4	0 <cr> (Which 'ad' SCSI host adapter supports...)
1.6.5	1 <cr> (Target ID for this device)
		1.6.6	<cr> (LUN 0)
		1.6.7	y <cr> (Update SCSI configuration ?)
1.6.8	y <cr> (Would you like to relink at this time ?)
1.6.9	y <cr> (Do you want this kernel to boot by default)
1.6.10	y <cr> (Do you want the kernel environment rebuilt)
	1.7	shutdown -g0 -y -i6 <cr>
2.0	OPERATION:
	2.1	Power off the system
2.2	Install the target system's boot disk on the tool's system. Set the drive's ID to "1".
	2.3	Power up the system.
2.4	root <CR> (Log on as root).
	2.5	mai001 <CR> (password)
	2.6	<CR> (TERM = (ansi)
2.7	cd /u/install <CR> (change to install directory)
	2.8	./ins <CR> (run the install program)
	2.9	<CR> (Target disk SCSI ID=1)
2.10	Enter SCO Serial Number	(i.e. mai000556, lower case letters
							 & numbers)
2.11	Enter SCO Activation Key	(i.e. abcdefgh, lower case letters)

2.14	Enter total system memory size in MEGABYTES	(i.e. 32 <CR>)
2.15	Enter swap partition size in ONE KILOBYTE BLOCKS
SYSTEM MEMORY SWAP SPACE IN 1 KB BLOCKS
		16 40000
		32 40000
		48 79000
		64 79000
		96 128000
2.16	Enter system "bus" type (GPx-1130 = ISA)
								(GPx-4150 = EISA)
								(GPx-5150 = EISA)
								(GPx-4160 = ISA)
								(GPx-5160 = ISA)
								(GPx-5190 = EISA)
	2.17	<CR> (Configure modem = YES)
2.18	Does the system have an MAI MFC card? (Y/N) (903836-006)
	2.19	<CR> (Configure parallel port = YES)
2.20	Install the SCO International Supplement? (Y/N)
Most systems are shipped within the US and do not need the international supplement.
